Hi everyone! This morning, my host Angel headed toward Kenting, whichi s one of the most popular tourist spots in southern Taiwan. It is located in the south coast on the small island (Taiwan). We will be staying in a resort tonight, just one night. This is the entrance of where we are staying. We just arrived

Okay, after leaving our backpacks at the resort. Angel rent a 50cc motorcycle and they planned to arrive in Eluanbi. There is a very famous lighthouse! But en route, we saw this very beautiful stone, called "Chuanfan Shi" (Chuanfan Rock). It also appears on postcards!

Since Chuanfan Shi is nearby, we are now at the beach where the stone is.

See? The light house is right here! We have finally seen the well-known spot!

Now time we walked along Seashore Path! Very excited to see what is there!

We are now leaving for the direction which "Seashore Path" points out.

The Minor Gorge - While corssing this coral reef gorge, one can hear the swishing of leaves from the forests above and occasionally spot Formosan monkeys.

The beach close to the resort we stayed in last night is quite quiet, quite hot, but I feel very peaceful.

Traditional Chinese lions! They can be seen everywhere, especially in front of temples!

Angel went back to Kaohsiung last night (July 14th) then arrived in Tainan City by bike with two of her classmates. The total distance was about 50 km and it took all of us about 6.5 hours to reach the city. Our first destination is, as you can see, Yen Ping Chun Wang Temple. The so-called "Yen Ping Chun Wang" is also known as "Konxinga", who lived in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Konxinga came to Taiwan, and ruled the island, but he and his son did something meaningful, such as there was improvement on the educational system, and there was harvest etc. Naturally, he plays an important role in most of the Taiwanese's hearts.

This is the gate - The four characters just tell soldiers (there were lots of fights, of course!) that they had to be loyal to their leaders.

This one is just a typical pavilion aming all. We like them very much, especially when the weather is really hot! By the way, it has been really humid recently, and the temperature is too high, too. I think it is around 35C!

Anping Fort! Everyone knows the place Anping in Tainan because it is so famous for its local culinary! Lots and lots of delicious food can be seen here. The thing we really want to recommend is shrimp rolls. Every tourist knows that when they are in Anping, eating shrimp rolls is definitely a must-do!
