We visit the place Almagro in Ciudad Real

Last week, Aurora took us to Almagro, a little but nice village near Ciudad Real, about 25 kms far from home.
Almagro is a well known place because its theatre culture and traditions.
The International Festival of Classic Theatre is celebrated there every year in July.
Many plays are played in this month but also in almost very months of the year.
We visited nice places like these:
When we arrived to Almagro, we had a cup of lemongrass tea because it was a little cold outside.
There we met some ToyVoyagers from Germany and France: Wieka the white bat and Malm, a little and nice orange malm from France.
This is the Main Square en Almagro. It is very famous because its little wooden green houses and alleys under them. They are from the 15th Century.
This is Almagro City Hall and Council. It is one of the oldest councils of Spain.
The pink lace is a symbol for supporting investigations in breast cancer in women
We think we can live in one of these little houses... They are really tiny ones!
Almagro is famous because its lace making art. Almost every women in Almagro can make lacing art.
The product they make are really good pieces of art.... and very expensive ones!
A simple bridal veil could cost about 2000€
This is the statue in honor to the Lace Makers Women, called "La Encajera", another symbol of the village.
After a great evening in Almagro, we went back home where Aurora and some friends made a tasty and great bacon, black olives, goat and mozzarella cheese pizza in the oven...
Hmmmmmmm... it was so good!!
We are living Ciudad Real on Monday. We have a great time over here, but we miss Johannes so much.
Now, we are on the way home waiting where we are going to travel next time.

We visit Ciudad Real in Spain

Hola!
Autumn is already here and after three days of pouring rain, we had a look to Ciudad Real, the city we are staying with Aurora.
It is a little but nice place to live and many places to visit.
Toledo Gate. This is the main monument in Ciudad Real. The city used to be walled several centuries ago and this is the unique part that exists nowadays. This was the Northern gate of the city.
Deputy Building. This is the beautiful Deputy Palace, places in the city centre.
There was a little fir in front of the Deputy Palace.
This is the front gate of Merced Church, a little church next to the Deputy Palace.
We found a nice park in the city centre called "El Prado". There was a little statue of a musician that wrote the himn of the city festival called "La Pandorga"; celebrated in August.
In this park there was a little music house where the city band plays every Thursday nights in summer.
We spend a while resting in this park. It was nice.
Then, we arrived to the Main Square where the city hall is placed. It seems to be a Dutch building or so, but not a Spanish one.
This is the back part of the city hall building...

Aurora is telling us that we are going to visit Almagro, a wonderful village at 23 kilometres far from here.
We can't wait to go there!!!!!

Now we arrived in Ciudad Real - Spain

Hola! We arrived to Ciudad Real a couple of days ago and it was sunny and hot for being Autumn!
So Aurora, our host, took us to the country side, a place called Molino Sancho Rey. It seemed to be a long path near a river.
We saw some prickly pears cactus on the way
We met a huge beetle while having a rest!
We climbed several dark rocks....
And we had our moment of risk with the trees and deep holes....

Finally, in the city, we had dinner a big big hamburger and coke...

Hey there. Now our short trip to the german sea is over. It is time to visit a new place. The weather is getting cold and autumn is coming so it will be the best to visit a southern European country. As chance would have it we got an invitation from Aurora from Spain. Now we took our the last hot drink with the sweet little girl Maja and off we go!
