A walk on the streets of Uetze

Today we did a a walk on the streets of Uetze.
Uetze is a municipality with nearly 20.000 citizens in the district of Hanover, in Lower Saxony.
The weather was nice so we walked a bit.
On that tower normally you could meet the stork of Uetze. But today the stork is on the fields around Uetze.
Uetze is situated on the river Fuhse
Have a look perhaps the stork is on this field...

Tomorrow we will leave Uetze and Germany for a long long flight...

Argentina we are coming...

Vaison la romaine

Yesterday, we had a walk under the sun in Vaison-La-Romaine a little city famous for its roman remains. Here we are in front of the ancient roman city.

Here is the roman bridge down the old city. This bridge had resisted to violent floods in 1992.

Discovering the Suze-la-Rousse castle

Not far from Anne and Serge home town, there is a beautiful village: Suze-la-Rousse, and on top of it there is a medieval castle which accomodate a famous wine University.

Here we are in a palm tennis court of the 16th century nearby the castle.

The castle of Suze-la-Rousse is a medieval building (built in the 12th century). We had a great walk around it but it can also be visited inside.

Around the castle, there is a protected wood La Garenne we crossed to go down the castle. The lords used to hunt, and especially boars. Now, noboby is allowed to hunt.
A little break down the castle.
What a  lovely view: the roof of the village and the church.

See you later...

We went with Anne to the bakery where we bought Easter chocolate. So cute!
At the end of the Easter meal, look what was dished out? Small strawberry pies! So so delicious!

On the road again

We’ve just arrived at our host’s house Anne and Serge who live in the south of France, in Provence near Avignon. We brought them some gifts. They were really happy to receive us !

A little walk in the garden under the sun.
We missed the Postcrossing meeting in Aix-en-Provence , but here is the official postcard.
Let’s go on Geocaching ! Here is a big (for us !) cache found along a little channel.
Picture 6 : Anne and Serge live in the wine region of Côtes-du-Rhône. We sat a while in a vineyard. The leafs are just growing.

Leaving Day

We have had a lot of fun in Japan, but now it is time to leave. I don't know if we are going to have enough room in our box for all the “o-miyage” (souveirs) we bought!

Whew! It all fit. Did we leave forget anything?
A “sneak peek” of what we are bringing back. But, to find out what we are giving Johannes and his family, you'll have to wait until we arrive :)

Sayonara! Good-bye, Japan!
