Our day in an American Middle School

Wow we are sorry we haven't not written sooner, this last week has been a whirlwind. First we need to tell you about our day at an American middle school. We spent the day with seventh graders in their social studies class. We spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with them, and we were able to have a lot of fun. We met all of Mr. Miettinen's classes and were surprised by the warm welcome we received. We took a bunch of photos, but we are pretty sure only some can make it on this blog. We told them about our travels, and they shared the days lesson on the big screen with us. We saw their treasure chest of coins from around the world. Hans is pretty sure he recognized a few. We showed them all the different places we have been on the globe, and we got to spend time looking at the bridges they made in class. Paul was worried though because he thought they seemed to small for the big humans, so I reassured him they were models. We got to go into the school office, the staff was very welcoming and let us take our picture by their window. We so many pictures to
share with you (the students wanted to share so much with you too), and we hope you enjoy them all.
Sincerely, Hans and Paul

We went to the cinema in Grand Blanc

Good Evening,
This weekend was so exciting. On Saturday November 20th, we went to the Trillium theater in Grand Blanc MI. We sat in the front row of the movies and had an excellent view of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt.1 film. We were hoping to get our picture taken in the theater, but it is not allowed so instead this is a picture of us by the marquee for the movie. Sunday we went to a local craft show to raise money for Fenton, MI Schools. This upcoming week we are super anxious about meeting really American students. I hope they enjoy learning about our travels. Fairwell for now,
Hans and Paul

We arrived savly in Troy

Good Afternoon,
We arrived safely via a very nice USA postal carrier. She made sure the last
leg of our journey was be safe. Our host Tina is very nice, she was extremely
excited to meet us and immediately introduced us to her family. We thought we
would show you a picture of some of the other friends we met here in Michigan,
USA. Their names are Golem and Smog. (Smog is the dragon) They also shared
their home (Mordor) with us. We are excited to spend this upcoming Thanksgiving
with Tina and her family. This weekend we are excited to be able to go see the
new Harry Potter Deathly Hallows movie, and go to a local craft fair. Next week
we get to experience a real American school and share our journeys with all the
students.
We will write again soon.
