Hiking in Haldensleben

 

Today we went hiking  with the local hiking group.

 

We took a nice long walk around the town.

 

Pool night

Tonight we had a lot of fun playing pool

It was not easy to handle the large balls

So our host Eileen gave us a smaler pool table....

 

we enjoyed the whole evening!

Arrived in Haldensleben

 

We arrived safe and sound in Haldensleben! 

On the road again

 

We are on the road again... Haldensleben, we're coming! 

Back home

 We arrived back home in Stendal inside of a huge box.

 We brought with us a basket full of goodies.

 There were sweets and cards and buttons  and an oven glove and a little stork and much more.

Today was our last day in Burbach.

A day in Strasbourg

 

Today we visited Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace.

 

There are lots of beautyful old houses.

We had lunch at a typical Alsacian bistro.

 

The signs are both in French and in German, because the Alsace belonged to both countries during its history.

 

Choucroute is typical for the Alsace, it's kind of sauerkraut.
