Preparations for the Owlparty

Here is a belated picture of the first of April. In France, this day has a lot to do with fish, it's the most common April fools joke to attach a paper fish to the back of your victim.

We helped with some preparations for the upcoming owlparty.

Later we admired the great postcards Maite got today.

Day two at Maites work!

Maite quickly draw on a plate for us some "foie gras" with rhubarb
The History of foie gras is very old. We gave ducks and geese already since the Time of the pharaohs and the roman empire with dried figs. Then we gave with corn which was discovered by Columbus in America. We cook foie gras on Alsace since 1778
We worked Well. So Maite offered us a "charlotte au chocolat" with strawberry coulis. Charlotte was créated at the beginning of XIX century as à tribute to Queen Charlotte Mecklembourg-Strelitz the grandmother of Queen Victoria....
